Our friends at United First Partners do some valuable SPAC research. Important datapoint they shared with us. Follow on SPACs ( a subsequent SPAC from a previous issuer) announce a deal 50% sooner than the first SPAC from a sponsor. Of the 38 follow on SPACs in their database, the median IPO to deal announcement is 150 days vs. 349 days for their initial SPAC. This just underscores the importance of track record and quality teams in selecting a SPAC.
