Behind the Curtain: A new, powerful political movement-Axios

What they're saying: Weiss, founder of The Free Press, recently wrote a widely shared anti-DEI manifesto called "End DEI," a popular issue inside this movement.

"It is time to end DEI for good," she wrote. "No more standing by as people are encouraged to segregate themselves. No more forced declarations that you will prioritize identity over excellence. No more compelled speech. No more going along with little lies for the sake of being polite."

Go Woke…Go Broke: The Massive Left Wing Media Layoffs-The First TV

After using Donald Trump to boost clicks and viewership during the run up to the 2016 election…mainstream media turned their backs and made him their #1 target. The constant attacks coupled with progressive woke policies have finally come back to haunt them.

Gavin Newsom turned the California dream into a woke nightmare-The Telegraph

Yet today California suffers among the US’ highest rates of unemployment, the highest percent living  poverty and massive  net outmigration. The causes here are manifold, but they start with climate policy. Ever since Jerry Brown returned to office in 2011, the state has made climate policy not just a priority, but an obsession. Virtually every major state initiative from housing and energy to economic growth hinges around climate catastrophism and the need for California to lead the battle to stop it.

I wish he would just tell the truth, the people running him want open borders. My sense is that his base wants that also so why lie about it? Biden says 'I've done all I can at the border': President says 'give me the power, give me the patrol, give me the judges' in rant outside White House as Congress negotiates immigration bill-Daily Mail

Fox’s @JacquiHeinrich: Shortly after this, a WH spox denied POTUS has exercised the limit of his authority.  DALTON: "... certainly [Biden] feels there are things that are within his power, but there are also things that are not within his power that he is looking for a congressional authority to do,"

GOP @SpeakerJohnson: President Biden said “I’ve done all I can do” with executive authority to secure the border. That is simply untrue. He’s either lying or misinformed. Here are just a few of the authorities at his disposal – if only he would use them: • Presidential Authority to Restrict Entry 212(f)
• Expedited Removal 235(b)(1)
• Discretionary Detention Authority 236(a)
• Mandatory Detention 236(c)

GOP Sen. @marcorubio: Why would we agree to a deal where border security depends on the President first determining the border is being overwhelmed when that same President spent 3 years denying we had a border crisis at all?

Parents have reportedly been so uncomfortable they have constructed makeshift towel tents to help their daughters change into their swimsuits. In response, Canada has been deploying police at swim meets...to make sure that "Melody" can access these girls locker rooms without difficult. Our northern neighbor has driven itself off a cliff.

Maybe demonizing your farmers is coming back to haunt you. The Most Important Election for the Planet That Doesn’t Involve Trump-Bloomberg

The European Parliament elections this June have the potential to cause a disturbance in what has been one of the strongest forces for climate action. While the Parliament in recent years has pushed through some of the world’s most aggressive decarbonization plans — including the EU’s 55% emissions-reduction target for 2030 — there are signs that voters are leaning toward candidates representing the more climate-skeptic right. All of this comes at a crucial time in the implementation of the bloc’s net-zero plan.
